Welcoming campers entering 3rd-6th grade, this shorter, four night session is intentionally planned for our youngest campers to get acquainted with Procter youth camps. The camp staff designs the program for shorter attention spans, with lots of activities along with good rest times built in, as well. The Christian formation program engages these camper’s natural sense of wonder, imagination and play.
Campers love to go fishing, try canoeing, and explore the farm (visiting pigs chicken and goats!), and create in the Arts and Crafts cottage. Many of these 3-6th grade campers haven’t attended Procter before, this camp is an ideal introduction to sleepaway camp!
The Chaplain for Session 2 is the Rev. Maggie Leidheiser-Stoddard, Rector of Christ Church in Springfield.
We know sleepaway camp is a big (and sometimes scary) step, for the camper and for the family! We take your trust in our camp program very seriously. Andrea Foote, Director of Camp and Youth Ministry, is happy to talk with you about the program, our camp staff, or any other questions you may have. We can also connect you with other parents of Procter campers to hear their experiences, parent to parent. Email Andrea anytime: firstname.lastname@example.org
