Spiritual Direction Now Available for Retreats at Procter
Spiritual Direction is a practice of spiritual conversation with a trained guide to aid a person on their faith journey.
This ancient practice, found in many faith traditions, is rooted in conversation about life through the lens of spirituality. At its core, spiritual direction helps individuals discern God’s presence. Something we seek to help facilitate in everything we do here at Procter.
A Spiritual director is a trained guide, either lay or ordained, who serves as a spiritual companion. They are trained in the art of active holy listening and sacred conversation and may offer guidance/direction in various forms—questions to explore, advice, discernment guidance, or suggested reading.
Sessions with Spiritual Direction are often an important addition to a retreat experience, and something Procter is excited to now offer through a partnership with the Spirituality Network.
The Spirituality Network, whose hub is in Columbus, Ohio, connects people with resources for spiritual growth and depth, regardless of faith tradition, through education and training, spiritual direction for individuals and groups, and community programs and events.
